Naked Neck  Polish Bantams

These birds are NOT to be incorrectly referred to as "showgirl" polish.

To call them "Showgirl" implies the use of Silkie Showgirls and my line has ZERO silkie influence.

Thank you for viewing my project naked neck polish page.  The goal for this new breed variety is for them to be in every way Polish except with the addition of naked neck gene . Any non naked neck birds hatched from naked neck parents will be indistinguishable in every way from Bantam Polish from other breeder's bloodlines .

I am currently working on producing these in both silver and gold laced color. I also have a "fun color" group that consists of off-colored birds including (but not limited to) silver or gold spangled, incomplete laced, pseudo crele, barred, recessive white and black. One of my boys in that pen is frizzled, so frizzle is possible.

2021:
Pen #1: One fourth generation naked neck silver laced polish bantam (possibly heterozygous S/s+) with the very best pure bantam laced Polish hens that I hatched in 2020 and a few hens/pullets from a new line.

Pen #2: One silver laced bantam polish cockerel from a new line with the best bantam naked neck silver and gold laced hens that I hatched in 2020.

2022:

In both pens: The tentative plan for 2022 is to breed naked neck with naked neck About 25% of the chicks will hatch homozygous naked neck. Approximately 50% will be heterozygous naked neck, and the remainder chicks will be "regular" Polish.

2023:

In both pens: If all goes as planned in 2022, I will breed homozygous naked neck polish together for 100% true breeding laced naked neck  bantams with  correct polish type and proper crests. The offspring from these birds will be the ones that will be available to the public.

None of these are available for sale. Please don't ask.

Left:

This is an F2 pullet, daughter of two third generation naked neck polish birds. She will be bred back to pure. Her crest size is remarkable, but she is bearded and her color is frosty. With careful selection, breeding back to pure should correct both of those issues to some degree.

Right:

In the foreground is a third generation pullet. She will be bred back to pure. I am not happy with her crest size, but she has nice type, is beardless and has the breda combless gene.

This is an F2 pullet, daughter of two third generation naked neck polish birds. She will be bred back to pure. I really don't have anything bad to say about this beauty and I look forward to hatching her eggs.

Right:

This is an "odd" color Polish pullet that will be part of the "odd color" naked neck breeding pen. Her genetics include colombian, barring and likely some buff modifiers. She will be bred to project cocks.
